Bulk email advertising is the best way to raise your products profile
on the internet. Unfortunately, it has been abused too much and nowadays SPAM,
or Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) as it’s also known, is on the
menu for alot of people. It seems that any email address that's posted on
the internet is viewed as fair game by spammers. Addresses are gathered by
'spam-bots' which crawl the internet gathering addresses for a spammer. Obviously
its better to try and protect your email address by hiding it from the spam-bots
and this can be done a number of ways. You can substitute the @ sign for the
html special character code which is @ and/or you could use javascript
to 'hide' the address, or use a form on your website instead of your address

I found that soon after one of my addresses went up on the web (when I posted
an advert for an item that I was selling), I started receiving rubbish that
I never asked for! You can set up filters and organise your email system and
the best way I have found to organize it is NEO

deal with the spam before it hit my inbox that I have found so far is Mailwasher
and its FREE ! You can bounce or delete emails before they even get to your
inbox. Fantastic !!
There are also scripted diversionary tactics - give the spam-bots a present of lots of fake email addresses (so that they get plenty of returned mail!) - Promote Responsible Net Commerce: Help Stamp Out Spam ! and also
Go get some more addresses!!
Now with any email marketing, you need leads. The easiest way to get them
is to subscribe to sites that have FFA (Free For All) pages. These gather the email addresses of people that post to them (in an attempt to promote their site) and make them available to you for a fee.
The best that I have found so far is The
